ALHADITH

*** القران و الحديث , مدى الدقة في الاسناد **** The Qur’an and the Hadith, the degree of accuracy in the chain of transmission

ABOUISHAQ

The Qur’an and the Hadith,

the authenticity of the chain of transmission

🔹 First: The Holy Quran

The Quran has reached us through definitive, continuous transmission. This means that a huge number of Muslims in each

generation transmitted it from the previous generation, making it impossible for them to collude in lying.

This means that the chain of transmission of the Quran is extremely precise and certain, and there is no doubt about its

authenticity, word for word.

Scholars have established strict rules, such as the ten continuous readings and the methods of correcting the Uthmanic script,

to protect it from any distortion.

🔹 Second: The Prophetic Hadith

* Not all Prophetic Hadiths have been transmitted through continuous transmission like the Quran. These include:

1- Mutawatir: That which is narrated by a large group, making it impossible for them to collude in lying → This is definitively

authentic.

2- Ahad: That which does not reach the level of continuous transmission → This is the majority of the Sunnah, and is divided into

Sahih, Hasan, and Da'if.

* To ensure accuracy in the chain of transmission, hadith scholars developed the science of isnad, jarh wa ta'dil (criticism), and

ta'dil (discrediting and falsifying):

- Studying the integrity and accuracy of narrators (is he trustworthy or weak).

- Studying the connection of the chain of transmission (did the narrator meet the person he narrated from).

- Comparing texts to identify anomalies or defects.

Therefore:

The Qur'an: Its authenticity is fully established.

- Hadith: It includes authentic, weak, and fabricated hadiths, depending on the accuracy of the chain of transmission andnarrators.
